Tonight on The New Spin: CD Giveaways of Miracle Fortress
hey cowpolks, I have two Miracle Fortress cds to give away tonight, and they are good. They're on Secret City Records, home to Human Highway and Polaris Prize-nominated Plants and Animals.
Tonight i'll be playing some indie rock classics (Modest Mouse, Built to Spill, etc.) as well as tons of new music by these artists:
TV on the Radio, Tobacco, Caw! Caw!, Noah & the Whale, Josh Martinez, Miracle Fortress, Boston Spaceships (Robert Pollard's new project), Roots Manuva, and that's just the tip of the iceberg! We'll also be checking out AE Bridger's new cd, I am a Ghostly Leech, since I'm going to be interviewing him next Thursday, Oct. 9.
and congratulations to Dan Snaith of Caribou for winning the 2008 Polaris Prize. Caribou's one of my favorite Canadian artists, so we'll be revisiting that album, Andorra, tonight as well.
